The First Instruments

The first instruments of music recorded in the Bible were created before Noah's flood. A man named Jubal, a descendant of Cain (Genesis 4:16 - 21), created both the kinnor, a type of harp, and a flute-like wind instrument called ugab in Hebrew.                                                 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.                                                                                                                 Colossians 3:16
